Figs!

OK, I never liked figs before, but these are delicious!

I have no idea what variety they are, but they grow "wild" all over this property and some of our neighbors land as well. (We're in Sonoma County, CA)

We'd love to know what kind they are!

 

The trees just grow wild. I assume the birds distribute seeds and they just pop up around here. This one probably hasn't ever been pruned or tended. But it sure makes good figs!

 

 

It grows over the edge of a hill, so it's a real pain to pick the downhill side of it. The birds have no trouble.

Here's this mornings harvest. The one on the far left is about 1-3/4 inches in diameter.
